We all need mentors. The apostle Paul was a mentor for the younger leader, Titus. Through the power of this mentoring relationship and work of God, a spiritual movement was started. Here a few notes from Titus that focus on the mentoring relationship and different elements of spiritual movements.
Titus 1:4 To Titus, my true child in a common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.
Titus was a convert of Paul; He was a Gentile convert from early days in Antioch, perhaps in Acts 11:25, 26.1 Titus was a son who brought much joy to his spiritual father in the faith. There is no greater joy than to know that our children are walking in the truth and being of service to the Lord. (Connecting lost to Jesus.)

Thanks Steve! Although I was only at New Mexico State University for a year and a half, you were absolutely instrumental and being a great mentor to me. You challenged me to read the Bible for my personal walk with the Lord, but also with the mindset of how can I teach this to someone else. I’ve been a Bible teacher now at a Bible college and now as a pastor for the last 26 years. In about two weeks, I’m going to start the book of Titus for our men’s group at church. Lo and behold, here is your article on Titus. You are still mentoring me! May God bless you and your family. Mark Santillanes
Thanks for touching base, Mark. I enjoyed our times together and remember them well. You were faithful, available and teachable back then and I know you still are. As a pastor and teacher, you are mentoring and building into the lives of so many more. That is exciting to hear where the Lord has taken you and how He is working with and through you. Keep looking to Him. Matt 11:28-30
