HBR: The Last Act of a Great CEO

Terry and I read this in Harvard Business Review. www.hbr.org  Thanks to our good friend Bob Hooks who got us a subscription!  The issue was January 2009 called TRANSFORMING LEADERS.  The article is called “The Last Act of a Great CEO”.  It has good ideas on transition over to new leaders or new leadership teams.  Helpful for us personally as we transition.

I am learning that my life is a story more epic than I ever thought. As with any story, it has a plot, characters who have influenced me, traumas and victories, hopes and disappointments. Each of these is shaping me into who I am today. Our stories may be larger and connected to a Great God who is more kind and compassionate than we ever imagined. I lived internationally for many years and have been privileged to travel to 40 countries and listen to others' stories. I am a musician, a writer, a triathlete, a Green Bay Packers fan, and a learner. I am married to my best friend of 40 decades; together, we have raised four wonderful adult children.
